MotoFest 2016

MotoFest is an exciting two-part event, that will kick off at the Dugandan Hotel this Saturday, October 1 with the MotoFest Community Day.

The day will go from 11am – 2pm, with the Dugandan Hotel providing great food, cold drinks and live music. There’ll be a show ’n shine for vintage off-road motorcycles, trade stalls and displays, kid’s rides, a wildlife display, downhill mountain biking display, Paul Morris’ race car, and much more.

Any juniors attending the day will also have the chance to give motorcycle sport a go, under the guise of an accredited coach. Bikes and gear will be provided, and participants will be able to claim a free recreational Motorcycling Australia Licence (valued at $105, and able to be used at Queensland Moto Park), just for having a go!

MotoFest is promoted by Queensland Moto Park (QMP), the state’s premier off-road motorcycling facility, located just 7kms out of Boonah.

QMP Manager Ray Buchanan says the MotoFest Community Day is a great opportunity to give back to the town that supports the park.

“QMP opened in 2011, and attracts over 30,000 riders to the Scenic Rim each year,” he says.

“The MotoFest Community Day is a great opportunity to showcase motorcycling in Boonah, and further strengthen the connections between Boonah and QMP.”

“A big thanks to the Dugandan Hotel for their support of the day.”

The day is free entry, and anybody is invited to check out the action.

The MotoFest Community Day is the first half of MotoFest, with all the racing set for November 27 at QMP.
